We're all pitching in to keep it clean!

Leo is finally old enough to help AND actually be somewhat helpful. We are working hard to keep the house clean for all the last minute showings - it really has to be clean all the time. My maid wasn't doing a great job, so I fired her. Now it's all us - eek! So far, it's ok. It really, really helps that there is so much less stuff in here. I wonder if we could live like this all the time?

House Update

The house has been on the market two months. Oops, did I say months? I meant two weeks - it just feels like months.

We've had 5 showings, 2 last-minute cancellations, and one confused real-estate agent who thought she was at another house down the street. She rang the doorbell and was coming in as I was running for the door to shove it closed - it's a little shocking to have someone coming into your home while you're getting dressed! Anyway, I have decided that this feels like when I was dating and had met somebody interesting - then waiting to see if the phone will ring.

It sucks, but I'm trying to keep my chin up.

We did a test-drive to Flower Mound on Friday, and I'm more convinced than ever that Coppell is where we need to be.

"I don't close my eyes"

For at least a year, Leo has insisted that he doesn't ever close his eyes after we put him to bed at night. I'm tempted to believe him, since he gets up at 5:30 every morning.

So, one night this week, he was up playing with Legos at 2am and 4am. Full lights and music on. Since I've had this nasty virus, Todd dealt with it.

The next day...

Me: Leo, were you up playing with Legos in your room last night?
Leo: Yes, I was making a surprise for you.
Me: Why were you up when you should be sleeping?
Leo: Mommy, you know I never close my eyes.
Me: Leo, you NEVER sleep?
Leo: Well, there was that one time when Papa was bringing me back from Louisiana when I fell asleep in the car. But I never close my eyes in my bed.
