Little Tiger

Wednesday was "Jersey Day" at Leo's school. Somehow this ties in with "Red Ribbon Week" (aka Say No to Drugs Week). Maybe they were a "Team" against drugs...I don't know. They come up with lots of dress-up days that really stretch the theme.

Oh...and, needless to say...Leo came home the first day saying...Mommy, what are drugs?

Anyway, here is Leo in his LSU Tiger Jersey from Brooksie and Papa. Henry has one, too, but he refused to put it on until bedtime, of course.

Happy Birthday, Henry!

Henry B is 3 years old! He had a little party at school with cupcakes and juice...and then we had cupcakes and opened presents at our house that night. It was a great day!

Henry had lots and lots of presents to open from family and friends...Leo even had a few, too. It was like Christmas morning.

We got him a "glide bike." This is a bike with no pedals for young children. They use their feet to push...run with the bike...ride on it while it glides...

Sushi Feast

This was our first weekend at home with no big commitments in a very long time! We enjoyed eating some of our favorite things. Tonight we had a homemade sushi feast. We made 8 rolls (some for tonight, some for lunch tomorrow) for about $30 total. Since a roll is $10-$12 at a restaurant, it's a pretty good deal. We did a spicy tuna roll with jalapenos and sriracha for a good kick, and also a Philadelphia roll (salmon, cream cheese, cucumber). We ate after the kids were in bed...so it was a very cheap date! We loved it.

I'm calling this one "Spicy Tuna Nipples."

Scarecrow Day

Friday was Scarecrow Day in 1st Grade. They all dressed up like scarecrows and did a parade around the school. Here is Leo in his mommy-made costume. I thought it turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. It is now hanging in the closet waiting for Henry's Scarecrow Parade.
