National Night Out

It's that time of the year again! We had our annual National Night Out party in our neighborhood. We had a bounce house, a chili cook off, hot dogs, a kids table with activities, and the ambulance and police motorcycle visited. Oh, and McGruff the Crime Dog! Very exciting.

The police visit all the parties in the city and name a winner for the best party, and our neighborhood won for the second year in a row. That doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but it's a big deal when you want to live somewhere where kids play outdoors in the afternoon and neighbors know each other. I wave at neighbors I know at least 3X a day, and we love that.
