Putting the pieces together

We have discovered that Leo loves jigsaw puzzles! Or, at least he does this week! For the last few days, we've been putting puzzles together every day after we finish homework. Of course, Henry has to have a puzzle, too.

I think these are all the puzzles Leo has done this week. He did the Princess one all by himself. He is really a lot of fun to do puzzles with!

Rainy Weekend

It rained all weekend here, so I told the boys that we would go out and play in puddles on Sunday afternoon. I had these visions of us all putting on slickers and rainboots and walking hand-in-hand down the side walk...stopping to splash our toes in puddles and watch rain drip off the trees. I'm sure that's what girl mamas did.

But they looked at me like I was crazy when I told them my plan. They knew exactly where they wanted to go. The big hole by our back patio. So Todd and I sat in chairs and screamed ... "Stop throwing mud!" "Don't knock him down!" "Don't hit him with that stick!" "QUIT!!!" while they flung themselves into the hole as hard as they could.

After we got everyone cleaned up, Henry took a nap. Leo (Elmo) and I worked on his handwriting homework.

Henry was invited to his first ever real birthday party at Chuck E Cheese for one of his preschool friends. He had a great time riding the little kid rides. He wasn't so thrilled about the person in the mouse costume, so we had to look the other way while we ate our pizza and cake.

Henry loves Barney!!!

There was a booth where you could have your picture taken and then Chuck E. Cheese "sketched" it for you and printed it out. Henry wanted to do it. But it took waaaaaaay too long for a 2 yr old's attention span, so he was trying to escape by the time it took the picture.

Sitting at the table waiting for food. Keeping his eyes off of Chuck E.

He sneaks an apprehensive glance.

That's enough. Pick me up.

He demanded watermelon when we got home. Henry makes lots of demands.
