Sweet Henry B

He fell asleep in Todd's lap the other day. We know these days are numbered.

In the nicest of neighborhoods....

We find a lot of broken beer bottles in the back corner of our backyard. It seems that since we are on the corner of the alley, SOMEONE throws beer over as they are heading home??? Usually it is just an empty bottle every once in awhile.

But the other day, I went out to find these in the side yard....not inside the fence. Todd said this has to be teenagers....only teenagers buy bottles like this. Yuck.

Fort Worth Zoo

Henry and I went to the zoo recently on one of the days that he doesn't have preschool. It was a pretty day, and we had such a nice time. He really wanted to try the binoculars that they have at the zoo that require quarters. I knew they weren't going to be as great as he thought, but he was just dying to try them. So we gathered up a bunch of quarters to take with us, which turned out to be useful for other things.

He loves all these phones and manipulatives in the new reptile house.

I tried to get him to put a quarter in this so we could hear it croak, but he wasn't too sure about this frog.

Probably one of my favorite Henry videos EVER.

Halloween

After Henry's party, we headed up to the parking lot of Henry's school for Trunk or Treat.

By this point, I was starting to have had enough Halloween. I was tired from Henry's party earlier in the day, and then it was about 90 degrees at this carnival. It just sucked the festiveness right out of me. Halloween is supposed to be crisp and cool. The boys ate their popcorn, and then they were pretty "over it" too. We went home.

Then we walked down to a cul-de-sac and had pizza at our HOA gathering.

Henry likes to take pictures these days.

Knocking on doors. It's still light b/c the time change is so much later now.

After all the anticipation, the birthday party, Trunk or Treat, neighborhood party, etc.....Henry finally just sat down on the ledge of a flowerbed down the street and wouldn't walk anymore. I called Todd at the house b/c he was passing out candy, and he walked down and got him. Leo did about one more house, and then he was done as well. He likes answering the door knocks as much as trick-or-treating himself, so I let him stay up late and pass out until all the candy was gone so we could sit in our chairs and watch the Rangers game!
