Catching Up Post 3

Henry went on a date with Todd and myself while Leo was at Winter Camp at YMCA Camp Carter after Christmas.

Todd and I went on a wknd camping date at Lake Bob Sandlin St Park while the boys went to my parents' house on MLK wknd. It was PERFECT. The weather was amazing, and we had a lovely heated shelter with bunk beds and plenty of room for our suitcases. We were close to the bathroom and away from others. Also, there was a Boy Scout group there....and, sadly, we enjoyed watching the other dads have to corral their boys. We just had SUCH a good time just visiting, reading, cooking, and SITTING with no one needing anything every other second.

The one thing Leo wanted to do over Christmas Break was go to Long John Silver's. When you hardly ever eat fast food, this is a huge treat.

We worked hard to learn multiplication tables over Thanksgiving. I set a timer on my phone, and we stopped wherever we were when it sounded and did our cards. Flashcards in parking lots, grocery stores, etc.

Our muddy and cold post T'Giving trip to Cooper Lake State Park. This one was a disaster. It rained, and our spot turned into a muddy mess. Leo had asthma problems. We had to move to Brooksie and Papa's cabin, and they left. Oh well. And so it goes.
