Yesterday Leo was invited over to play at a little friend's house down the street. He got there about 4:30 b/c he had a haircut appointment. When he came home at 6:30, I was about to put catfish and roasted vegetables on the table.
Me: Leo, do you want some catfish?
Leo: Yes ma'am! When I was at Sarah's, I was thinking about dinner.
Me: Was her mama cooking something that smelled good?
Leo: Huh?
Me: What was Sarah's mama making for dinner?
Leo: Nothing I guess. She was sitting on the couch with a blanket watching TV.
Me: Leo, have you ever seen me sit on the couch with a blanket and watch TV?
Leo: (long pause) That time when you were sick. (the poison ivy from hell)
Me: Yeah, I guess that's probably the only time you've ever seen me do that.
Todd: They must have a nanny. (they don't)
Hahaha!

The boys are LOVING the new fort. Leo goes out there every day after school to swing and climb a little bit. Henry likes it but requires more supervision.
Last week we had a friend over after school - they decorated cookies and played outside. I made the cookies homemade...you can call me Supermom (for that day, lol).

Pajama Day (Surprise!)

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing
I got an email from Leo's teacher yesterday afternoon that they had earned a "Pajama Day" for today (Wednesday). He had no winter pajamas that could be worn to school, so I had to make an emergency run to Target last night after dinner. Not real excited about that since I was pooped and had been at the mall and also Wal Mart during the day - a little warning would be nice. But, anyway, here he is in all his Target Nick & Nora cuteness!

Todd's mom sent the boys a cute little Christmas toy that arrived in the mail yesterday. The boys loved it!

The McMansionette
The weekend after Thanksgiving, "we" put together a playfort in the backyard for the boys. My parents came in, and family friends Tim and Jane Greer also came to give us a hand and bring some special tools. Todd and I started sorting the wood as soon as we got home from T'Giving Dinner...all told, it took three solid days, but it is totally worth it!!!
When I went to Leo's school today to help with lunch duty, he had told all his friends and his teacher about our new addition. He went straight out there to swing when he got home. I'm so happy we have something back there now that will help us enjoy our great yard!
