We were really blessed with beautiful Spring weather this year for Spring Break. Which is really a crap shoot since it is the first part of March. On Friday, we got out the sprinklers while we were waiting for Daddy to come home.

Spring Break - Fort Worth Zoo

On Thursday of Spring Break, we decided to go to the Fort Worth Zoo with Miss Allie and Evan and "baby" Luke. Sounds simple enough. But, every school in TX is now on the same Spring Break schedule, so everyone went to the zoo that week. We got there FIFTEEN MINUTES before the gates opened and had to park in the third OVERFLOW parking lot. We made it, but I wouldn't call it "fun."

Lunch time! Miss Allie and I pride ourselves on bringing a healthy lunch for the boys and ourselves. We have a favorite place to eat that really is a little green oasis at the Fort Worth Zoo - right behind Grandy's, lol.

After lunch, it quickly got unbearably crowded. We had to almost keep a hand on each kid at all times to keep up with them. We left pretty soon after lunch. I tried to get a pictures of the endlessness of the cars in our huge overflow lot, but it was really hard.

Spring Break - The Great Wolf Lodge

We went to The Great Wolf Lodge with some friends on Monday night of Spring Break. Leo had an amazing time - he can't wait to go back for his birthday. This place is literally across the street from our house - I am not kidding - so, it is very convenient. It is a nice resort with restaurants, a huge waterpark, arcade, etc. A kid's paradise. Our friends had rented a room for the night, and we really enjoyed our time. Papa came from Monroe to stay with Henry (Todd had to work), so that Leo and I could go.

The kids' sleeping area of the room. It had a TV mounted on the wall with some sort of video game thing. It had two bunk beds. Do you think they slept there? No. Leo slept in my normal bed, and I slept on his bunk. The friend slept with his mom in her bed.

Edited to add...I am campaigning with "he who holds the purse strings" for one of these for the summer so that I can take more water pictures. Notice that it is waterproof. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
