I had them out b/c I was trying on this skirt that I made. As usual, it is still too big in the waist. I think part of the problem is that I'm buying quilting material and not garment (? right word ?) material. I bought something with some stretch and I'll eventually getting around to another try.
One of our monthly activities through the ECPTA is a nature walk with a Texas Master Naturalist. This is just one of the best kid activities I have ever done. This lady knows tons about nature, it's totally on a preschooler's level, and it is FREE and in our town! WOW! It is actually two naturalists - one does the talking and the other is the support staff.
This lesson was called A Need for Seeds. Ms. Judy (naturalist) started out by telling us how animals carry seeds along when they catch them in their fur. Then all the kids got to put on a sock inside out and brush it along as we walked down the nature trail. She could tell the kids what all the different kinds of seeds were that they picked up on their "fur."
For Henry's first day of preschool, I tried to get him to take the classic picture. But he was just too busy eating....he does A LOT of that. He finishes a meal and five minutes later....I'm hungry!!! So I finally just taped the sign to him while he ate.
