pizza dough from scratch

 

 

 

I made a totally homemade pizza! Yeast and the whole shebang! I made the dough, and then used homemade pesto from our garden as the sauce, and it was topped with tomato, parmesan, feta, red pepper, and dots of chili-garlic sauce. I baked it on a pizza stone, and it was yummy...if I do say so myself!

Leo did a great job of helping me mop one day this week. He can also give Henry his 5pm bottle, which really helps while I'm trying to get dinner made.

On Sick Leave

After a great weekend in Lubbock at Gran and Grandpa's, I started feeling really sick on the drive home last Monday. The whole six hour ride was very traumatic, and we all might have to have counseling. Mostly Todd for listening to me moan for six hours. And the car needs to be detailed. So the stomach bug started with me and then moved on to Leo early Wednesday morning. We are on the mend, and I will get some Lubbock pictures posted soon.

Bentos in the paper

My friend Shannon Carino introduced me to the idea of making lunches in Bento Boxes...and being a faithful newspaper reader, this really looked like a story that would run in the Taste section of the Dallas Morning News. So...I emailed them...and they thought it was a great idea.

The story is in today's paper. Since Leo has had more than his 15 minutes of fame between his birth article and the seeMOMMYrun news story - plus Shannon is much more into it than I am - I suggested that the photo be of Shannon's kids and Bentos. And, apparently I moved to Frisco. ;)
