Henry video

A little video I shot of Henry singing. He is really into potty words! At one point he's telling me he wants to watch himself on the camera..."I want to see Henry's picture on the other side." The Jesus Loves Me verse...that's something they do at preschool. Not a huge fan of telling my kids they're "bad" - we "make bad choices," etc. But, oh well. It's pretty cute. He says "Jesus loves me when I'm good, when I do the things I should. Jesus loves me when I'm bad, though it makes him very sad."

Memorial Day at the Zoo

We went to the Zoo as soon as it opened and got to enjoy it before the crowd hit. It was fun!

Memorial Day Cookout

After I pointedly asked Allie what "we" would be doing for Mem Day Wknd, she was gracious enough to have us over even though her parents were in town. :) We had yummy food, drink, and great conversation. We really enjoy Allie's parents - they are fun to visit with!

The grown-ups. Pretty Carla smiling for the camera!

Grapevine Park

A couple of weeks ago, we took a picnic to a park in Grapevine on a Thursday night. The weather has been so nice lately, and we know it will be hot as blue blazes before we know it! I made yummy kid and grownup food and was so proud of myself for this exciting weeknight outing.

Well, it didn't go as planned. The boys wouldn't eat. They didn't want to play at the park - they wanted to play in a drainage ditch nearby. Some other kids told Leo they should clean the trash out of the ditch, so they all three started bringing nasty, dripping trash to the trashcan right by our table. They had to have help to get the can open, so I'm trying to eat and also open the trashcan lid. LOVELY. Finally, I told Leo to stop and get out of the ditch...play on the playground...and he yelled..."Mommy, I just want to help them clean up the environment!!!" Too bad, kid. Play on the playground!

Oh, well! :)

And...the fountains. I don't think I even need to write out the problems this caused. You can imagine!

And so it begins...

Last night, Leo was downstairs taking a shower and Henry was up in his bed. Todd and I were in the living room.

Henry started calling Todd, and when Todd got upstairs...a naked Leo jumped out from under the bed and screamed. I heard Todd yell in surprise from downstairs.

So now they are teaming up on us. Leo snuck past us and then hid under Henry's bed. Then he convinced Henry to call daddy so he could scare him.

We're already so beaten down, and now they're combining forces!!!
